Oil cans are one of the more popular petroliana collectibles. The most common size of motor oil cans are 1 quart. They also come in 5 quart, 1/2 gallon, 1 gallon, 2 gallon, 5 gallon and 10 gallon sizes. Most of the earlier oil cans and cans of today were square or rectangular in shape. They can also be cylindrical or round, made of metal, plastic, cardboard or composite. They were a great way for companies to advertise.

I have a small oil can, on the front it says: “S.S. WHITE LUBRICATING OIL (PERFUMED)” and on the back, it says: “The S.S. White Dental Mfg. Co. Philadelphia, PA”

Have one Gold Crest 10 qt. Can
Sears & Roebuck Co . Still has third can of oil. Possibly original oil.
Stored in basement of home for years. Also have 2 gal. Spur oil can
& one gal. Quaker State Medium can . I can send pix if wanted.
Have some interested, but I have no idea of what to ask for them.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have a 5 quart pennzoil motor oil can that has a bell on one side with no color and a owl on the other side do u have any info or value on this someone told me that because the bell was not colored it was rare is this true

hi I hope you can help me price an oil can. its a rectangle pennzoil can the seams are soldered together the coloring is sharp .it says on one side to keep in the car pocket for emergecies thanks dan
