Morgantown Glass or Morgantown Glass Works was founded in 1899, in Morgantown, West Virginia. They produced stemware, bowls, colorful glass tableware, hand blown glassware and much more. They were also known as Old Morgantown Glass.

In 1903, they reorganized and changed their name to Economy Tumbler Company until 1929. During the 1920’s, they produced more glass tableware and went back to their original name, Morgantown Glass Works, in 1929.

Morgantown Glass Works closed on October 15, 1937.

In January 1939, they reopened again under the name Morgantown Glassware Guild. They produced stemware and tableware in a whole slew of new colors. In April 1965, Fostoria Glass Company bought Morgantown and in 1971, they closed for good.

i have a pattern of Morgantown glass that we have identified as a pattern called Morgana, pink crystal stemware, etched and with a gold band at the top. Replacements Limited says that it was discontinued in 1923. I am looking for information and maybe other pieces to complete this set. In particular, I am looking for the footed v-shaped water class. Thank you.

I have the book Morgantown Glass: From Depression Glass Through the 1960s by Jeffrey B. Snyder and on page 13 of the Introduction there is a picture of an Old Morgantown Glassware Guild, Inc. packing box, complete with a #101 Heritage bowl and two #9935 Barton candleholders. I am trying to identify a bowl that looks very like this bowl, but it is cobalt blue. Can you tell me where I can find a better pic of this bowl as there is not another pic of it in any of my books. I have a large Morgantown Tinkerbell patterned pitcher in blue. It doesn’t seem like there are many pieces of this pattern around. Curious to know if this is rare? Thanks

I am searching for a piece of Morgantown stem #7586-2. It is a goblet 6 1/4 inches tall; 2 3/4 in diameter and has a 1/2 inch gold band at the top. It is used as a champagne flute. Can you help me locate such a piece. If you do not have this, can you provide me with other contacts?
