Northwood Glass Company was founded in 1896, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, by Harry Northwood. They produced many types of carnival glass, opalescent glass and much more.

In 1899, they became part of the National Glass Company. In 1902, he left and created Harry Northwood and Company in Wheeling, West Virginia. In 1908, Northwood started to produce Carnival glass. Designs usually included roses, grapes, peacocks, singing birds, leafs and much more.

Northwood died in 1919 and the company eventually closed down in 1925.

I recently came upon a small translucent bowl (pale green in color). On the bottom, it says ‘Northwood’ with a swirl under the word.
It is written in an ornate script, rather than block letters, and is really quite difficult to see.
Can you help me identify this piece, I haven’t had any luck finding anything out about it.

I recently purchased a Northwood bowl with fluted/ruffled smooth edges. It does have the
underlined N in the center of the bowl (in a flower). The bowl is almost clear to pale white (depending on light), with the fluted edges being a darker white. The center indentation contains a reddish flower centered in 6 oblong gold colored pointed-edge leaves. The flower (which has small dots in the center) almost looks like you are looking down a pine cone from the small end. The inside of the bowl is also decorated with alternating flowers and leaves of the same designs and colors. The inside of the bowl also has a very small diamond pattern around the leaves and flowers. There is a row of beads between the tips of the leaves and the edge of the bowl, with the diamond pattern extending up to the bead line. On the back of the bowl the flower and leaf designs are the gold color found on goofus glass. I have found similar flowers, leaves and diamond pattern on an ebay item –signed Northwood Apple ice green rare pattern glass bowl, but the center design is different than my bowl. Sorry if I sound dumb.. I am, as this is my first piece of Northwood glassware. Just trying to find out more about the bowl I purchased.

I am looking for amber glass salt pepper shakers in a horseshoe pattern. The horseshoe opens to the top.
I have seen these advertised on ebay page but cannot track them down. I do have this pattern in a muffineer.
